Our Team

  • Yes! Formerly known as Southcoast Construction New Plymouth Limited - and as of 16th June, we’re now called Structa.

    It’s still us: same team, same mahi, just a new name that better reflects the direction we’re heading. If you’ve worked with Southcoast before, you’re in the right place - welcome to Structa!

  • We’re a team of 37 made up of skilled carpenters, painters, project & site managers, and a solid office crew who keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

    We’re a tight-knit group with extensive experience, all working together to deliver quality mahi across every project.

  • We work across a wide range of projects, including:
    – Commercial builds
    – Design & build developments
    – Educational facilities
    – Iwi and community projects
    – Residential homes and renovations

    Whether it’s a new build, a collaborative kaupapa with iwi, or a custom-designed commercial space - we’ve got the team, tools, and experience to deliver.

    We hold several accreditations and memberships, including:
    – SiteWise Gold
    – Pinnacle (New Plymouth District Council)
    – Pre-qualification with Stratford and South Taranaki District Councils
    – Site Safe membership

    We also invest heavily in training:
    – 52% of our team hold a current First Aid certificate
    – 16% are trained in MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
    – 19% hold Heights & Harness certification
    – 20% have completed Fire Warden & Emergency Warden training

    Our dedicated Safety Compliance Supervisor is also qualified in:
    – Test & Tag (electrical equipment safety)
    – Managing Drugs & Alcohol in the Workplace (TDDA-certified)
